In 1985, Paul Williams, Jane Scharer and Coe Williams started the Wisconsin Fast Plants Program. Coe was the coordinator of the WFP Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for 20 years, networking with and training teachers. Although she officially retired from the Program, retirement is a relative phrase. Coe continues to assist in a number of ways -- at teacher workshops, NSTA conventions, networking, etc.
